Automotive mirrors and the Trent object

Enlargement of Trent object and a selection of automotive mirrors. While none of these have exactly the same profile as the Trent object, what they do have is the angled stem, flattened-dome body and a thin outer flange. The mirrors are shown in rough chronological order, beginning with a pre-WW I vehicle and ending with a 1945 Willys Jeep. These types of mirrors were extremely common, and were used on all types of cars and trucks up until the mid 1950s -- similar ones are still found on trucks. If this is what the Trent object was, the mirror body probably was chrome or brass plated, given the measured brightness of the UFO's surface. Note that while these mirrors share common design elements, nearly every one is different in some minor respect. The likelihood that a pre-1950 mirror exists that matches the Trent object's profile is very high.
